Dr. Ammar Hasan Alsughayir is a distinguished leader in transfusion medicine with over 20 years of experience steering clinical laboratories and blood banks to meet the highest international standards. As Chairman of the Transfusion Medicine Service Department at King Fahad Medical City, he has driven transformative initiatives, including expanding blood bank services, establishing remote blood banks, and achieving prestigious accreditations such as CAP, CBAHI, and AABB. A certified clinical pathologist and hematologist, Dr. Alsughayir holds an MBBS from King Saud University College of Medicine, a Jordanian Board of Hematology, and completed fellowships in Neoplastic Hematopathology and Transfusion Medicine/Bone Marrow Transplant at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He is also a certified Hemapheresis Practitioner by the American Society of Pathologists, a College of American Pathologist Certified Inspector, and a certified assessor for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. As a medical consultant for stem cell processing and bone marrow transplantation, he provides specialized clinical expertise.
